Hufra 100% Pure Argan Oil Consumption 100 ml
Argan oil is not well known for being an oil that you can eat! It’s more popular for its benefits for your hair and skin, but in fact Moroccans have been eating and cooking with it for centuries. And with good reason. It has a delicious soft nutty flavour and is super healthy for you too!
The difference between cosmetic and culinary argan oil, is that the cosmetic version uses unroasted kernels and the argan oil made as a food product uses roasted kernels.
“You can see the difference with culinary argan oil – it is slightly dark in colour depending how well the kernels were roasted. It has a very distinctive nutty aroma which cosmetic oils don’t have.”
“Don’t be afraid to taste argan oil,” “It’s worth eating. It’s a really lovely oil to have, as it’s healthy, really delicious and tasty. And if you really want to add an authentic Moroccan touch to your food, then argan oil is an essential component to have in your meal.”
“Argan oil is expensive because it comes from one source – one area – in the whole world. Shipping costs push it up and the product is quite labour intensive.”
‘Authentic’ hufra argan oil, are made by Berber women in south-west of Morocco where the argan trees are grown. ( you can find fewer trees being grown in the north of Morocco). This is because Berber women traditionally have the role of cold-pressing the oil.

Culinary Argan Oil is a food oil made for eating, cooking and is also used as a dietary supplement for its many health benefits.
To make Argan Oil for eating the oil-rich Argan kernels are extracted from the hard Argan nuts. Next the white Argan nut kernels are toasted before the final cold-pressing.
An authentic Culinary Argan Oil prepared for eating, cooking or use as a dietary supplement should have a golden brown colour, toasted nutty aroma and delicious nutty taste.
Our argan oil should not be used at heat for frying but rather included in dishes, served at room temperature. That makes it suitable for use as a dressing oil and can replace extra virgin 100% pure olive oil in most meals or it can be add on.
“Culinary argan oil has a savoury and sweet use. It’s nice to add to humus or on top of a soup, like lentil soup after it’s cooked. It’s also good on grilled fish or you can toss it through a seafood pasta or couscous. Or you can mix it with Greek yoghurt, honey and mixed berries, and is nice with ice cream.”
Apparently argan oil is not only an exotic addition to your meals, it’s also good for your heart.
Studies suggest that argan oil is traditionally well known for its ability to protect your heart health and prevent cardiovascular disease.
Argan oil is also used for culinary purposes, the consumption of which is believed to have medical benefits, including the treatment of high blood pressure and diabetes. It has powerful skin benefits thanks to several healing properties and vitamins that it contains.
The fats and antioxidants in argan oil can help your body stay healthier.
The high concentration of vitamin E in argan oil makes it effective at boosting the immune system. It also helps your body maintain and repair your eyes and skin.
Other health benefits of argan oil include:
